Peacock Infrastructure Consultancy Services were responsible for the management of a large transformation programme that streamlined COLTs infrastructure, focusing primarily on server, backup and SAN (consolidation, refresh and virtualization). This project was nominated for the UK IT industry 'IT Project of the year' award 2009.

Text Box: Peacock Infrastructure Consultancy Services were responsible for the IT accommodation programme at Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA), whose aim was to relocate the SQA systems, services and staff to new premises in Glasgow. This Programme of work included; Existing WAN upgrade to MPLS The introduction of a VoIP Telephony solution Data Centre design and build; (Also completed a Data Centre build at the company’s Dalkeith site) Structured cabling & LAN design Server and PC moves New server and PC installations The management of all 3rd parties, budget and the full government procurement process (OGC) Barclay McJannett - Network Systems Manager, SQA “Mark was contracted to manage a programme of projects in the IT department. The major project (which was a programme in itself) was the consolidation and relocation of SQA's Glasgow offices. This project was a major success in no short measure due to Mark's skills and ability He is a highly proficient programme/project manager. His control of projects, meetings and all the associated documentation is excellent. From an IT perspective he has sound background knowledge that allows him to fully understand the issues and impacts they may have.
